Dan Fout Memorial Hunt
The Dan Fout Memorial Disabled Veterans Hunt, originally known as the Pickaway County Disabled Veterans Hunt, was established in 2010. Dan Fout passed away in March 2016 and the name was changed to honor his memory and legacy.
The annual hunt’s mission is to provide an opportunity for Disabled American Veterans to hunt whitetail deer using archery equipment. The event provides an enjoyable and memorable day with meals, shooting contests, hunting opportunities, awards and comradery with fellow veterans and volunteers.
The Dan Fout Memorial Hunt consists of two half-day hunts held in October at the Gabriel Farm, south of Circleville, Ohio. The full-day hunt is held on the second Saturday of November at Deer Creek State Park near Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
